Are you a liar???
I agree completely that lying can have positive effects, because when has a little white lie ever hurt anyone??? And as is said, what you don't know won't hurt you!!! I believe that lying so as not to hurt somebody's feelings is justifiable...but how far can we go with terming a lie as justifiable? According to Judaism, a lie is allowed to avoid hurting another and to prevent causing a breach in a relationship.
Lying with evil intent on the other hand is always wrong, regardless of the circumstances!!! For example, lying in court so that somebody else is blamed for a crime committed by yourself is completely unjustified. Lying is definitely a bad thing because we can be jailed for perjury, and so i conclude by saying that all you compulsive liars need to stop telling fibs because it is so annoying - and also embarrassing - when you concoct ridiculous stories (like a few people i know who do this!!!)
