Domestic Abuse...
In response to this blog, i completely agree that domestic abuse is wrong and shouldn't be accepted...however, i disagree with her saying that these women have no self worth or value of lives!!!! A lot of women who suffer from domestic abuse do not have the confidence to leave, especially if they love their partner and hope for things to improve...
Relatives of mine have suffered from abusive relationships but haven't had the will to leave the relationship immediately because adapting to being alone again takes time...
Abuse may not only take the form of being physical, but can also be mental abuse, which can be equally as bad and equally as wrong!!! Domestic abuse situations often result in the police handling them, which demonstrates very clearly that it is a punishable offence and therefore very bad!!!
I don't think i would ever remain in an abusive relationship, though these things are difficult to predict...but i do think i am strong enough as a person to know i deserve better, which all women suffering from this should realise...but i am a feminist and believe that women are just as good as men, if not better!!!! However, men also suffer from domestic abuse, though it is not as common, and this is just as bad and degrading...
